Imhoff try puts Racing 92 in Top 14 Final

Played on Friday evening in Rennes, France the first of two Top 14 Semi Finals was truly sensational. With scored tied at 27-27 at full-time the fixture was forced into overtime. The two additional 10 minute halves saw Clermont Auvergne going six points ahead only to be overtaken with one minute remaining by Racing 92.

Scoring in the 98th minute was Argentine flier Juan Imhoff. The Rosario winger linked with replacement second-rower Juandré Kruger who had made an intercept. Kruger offloaded to Imhoff who ran 50 meters to score untouched. Fly half Dan Carter added the conversion to go ahead 34-33 and, ultimately, win the Semi Final.

On Saturday Toulon saw off Montpellier to seal the second spot in the final. The two sides will meet in the first ever international Top 14 Final. Set to be played at Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona, Spain a world record club crowd of 98,000 is expected.
