Horacio Agulla Signs for Castres

Veteran Argentine winger Horacio Agulla will play his rugby next season for Castres, the French Top 14 club has confirmed.

Aged 31 Horacio Agulla has made the transfer back to France where his professional career began in 2007. He played for the then Top 14 side Dax in the 2007-2008 season before moving to Brive on a two-year deal and subsequently playing for both the Leicester Tigers and Bath in the Aviva Premiership.

Having played in a third Rugby World Cup this past September and October, Agulla’s time with Bath has come to a close and he is to now play the 2016-2017 season for Castres, joining former South Americans Rodrigo Capó Ortega and Benjamin Urdapilleta in the process.

In moving to south-west France Agulla will be available full-time for Castres. His time with Los Pumas ended in the Bronze Final of Rugby World Cup 2015 where he earned his 63rd and final cap on the international stage. His younger brother, Belisario will continue playing in the Aviva Premiership, doing so for the Newcastle Falcons.
