Rafael Torres is the New Sporting Director of Peru Rugby

Rafael Torres is the new Sporting Director of Peru Rugby, Sudamérica Rugby has confirmed. From the northern Argentine province of Tucumán Torres enters the newly established position following the establishment of a strong relationship between the Federación Peruana de Rugby (FPR) and the Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR).

Torres has a detailed history including vast rugby experience. Some of his career highlights include:

  • Player for Cardenales club from 10 years of age.
  • First divisaion player until 1994.
  • Under 19 Coach at Cardinales club until 1994.
  • Tucumán ‘B’ Coach.
  • Linces Rugby Club Head Coach.
  • Santiago del Estero Regional Head Coach.
  • Head of Development Project in Northern Chile from 2011-2016.
