Argentina XV Rotate Players for Emerging Italy

Argentina XV Head Coach Felipe Contepomi has confirmed his lineup for Monday’s second round fixture in the World Rugby Nations Cup. The Argentina XV will take-on their Italian equivalents, Emerging Italy  at the Stadionul Arc del Triumf in Bucharest, Romania at 10am.

Contepomi’s team features numerous alterations from the side that defeated Spain 44-6 on Thursday. Up-front it is all change with Franco Brarda, Santiago Iglesias Valdez and Cristian Bartoloni making way for a new front-row of Carlos Muzzio, Axel Zapata and Eduardo Bello.

The call-up of Ignacio Larrague to Los Pumas sees Sacha Casañas starting in his place in the second-row. Rotation in the back-row sees Lucas Maguire and Lautaro Bavaro both starting but in different positions. José Deheza, meanwhile, starts on the side of the scrum with Santiago Portillo dropping to the bench.

Felipe Ezcurra continues on as captain from the scrum half position and will again play with Joaquín Díaz Bonilla in the halves. Joaquín Paz takes over at inside center from Gabriel Ascárate while Bruno Devoto will also have an opportunity to start.

Outside both Franco Cuaranta and Sebastián Cancelliere have been retained with the only change seeing Pedro Mercerat making way for Gonzalo Gutierrez.
