Rio 2016 Rugby Tickets on Sale

Tickets to Rugby Sevens’ eagerly-awaited debut at the Olympic Games are now on sale. The abbreviated version of the game they play in heaven will see the sport back in the Olympics for the first time in 92 years.

Back in Paris in 1924 it was the USA who won Olympic Gold. The men’s and women’s Eagles teams will both be chasing a repeat of this at the Parque Olympic Deodoro in August.

The women’s division of Rugby Sevens will be played from August 06-08 and is to be followed by the men’s who will play on August 9-11.

Eleven of the twelve competing countries in both genders have qualified. The remaining women’s and men’s slots are to be determined at a repechage event in Monaco. From the Americas Canada, Chile and Uruguay will be competing in men’s division with Argentina, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago and Venezuela doing so in the women’s.

Already qualified are Argentina, Brazil and the USA in the men’s section while Brazil, Canada, Colombia and the USA have all secured their places in the women’s.
