Benn and Landry named in Clermont Dream Team

Outstanding Canadian players Brittany Benn and Ghislaine Landry have been named to the official HSBC Dream Team for the Clermont-Ferrand 7s. Benn was in cracking form on the weekend, scoring five tries and bringing a real physical edge to the side. She scored a crucial try against Australia in the final and also put in a try-saving tackle.

Landry was at her very best all tournament, tied with Australia’s Chloe Dalton as top point scorer. With seven tries in all, including a hat-trick against England, Landry also stepped up to lead the team in the absence of injured Jen Kish.

Dominant Fijian forward Rusila Nagasau and imposing Australian Sharni Williams join Benn on the front lines. The backs see French star Camille Grassineau joined by two of the best finishers in the game – Ellia Green of Australia and New Zealand’s Portia Woodman.
