Teenager in Eagles Squad for Clermont 7s

Richie Walker has included 17-year-old prodigy Lilly Durbin in his Eagles side to travel to France for the final round of the 2015/16 HSBC Women’s Sevens Series. The Fallbrook, California, High School student makes her senior debut less than a month after being named as a resident at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center to prepare for the Rio tournament in August.

Four further additions have been made to the side that took part in Langford last month. Kathryn Johnson returns from a long hiatus joining series veterans Kelly Griffin, Kristen Thomas, and captain Jillion Potter in the team. Missing out are Emily Azevedo, Megan Bonny, Joanne Fa’avesi, Nicole Heavirland, and Christy Ringgenberg. Azevedo and Ringgenberg were not included in the Chula Vista residents list.

The Eagles are currently in 7th spot on the overall season standings, just two points behind Russia. All matches are set to be streamed live by World Rugby.
