Americas Rankings – May 22 2016

There have been changes to the Americas Rankings following international competition this weekend. The updated Americas Rankings – May 22 2016 see improvements for Mexico, Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago. Their improved rankings points come at the expense of Bermuda, Jamaica and Barbados.

Mexico’s home win over Bermuda sees Las Serpientes improving their ranking from 43,61 to 44,12 points. For Bermuda the loss sees a slight drop in points from 40,03 to now sit on 39,52 and drop below Venezuela. Of note is that Bermuda holds the smallest possible lead over Peru.

Neither the Cayman Islands nor the Bahamas had their ranking changed. This was the case due to the Cayman Islands entering as the home side and doing so with a large lead over the Bahamas. As a result Mexico has edged further ahead of the Cayman Islands.

Guyana’s 23-5 win over Jamaica was sufficient for the home side to make a small gain in the Americas Rankings. The win sees Guyana rising from 44,08 to 45,04 while Jamaica falls slightly from 38,92 to now have a ranking of 38,76 points.

Barbados’ 5-39 defeat at home to Trinidad & Tobago negatively impacted the home side’s ranking which dropped from 37,39 points to 36,95. Trinidad & Tobago meanwhile rise further ahead of Colombia. The updated rankings sees an improvement from 47,48 to 47,92 points.

Not involved in rankings this weekend but playing is Uruguay. Los Teros two home matches against the Fiji Warriors were uncapped.
