Belisario Agulla Extends Newcastle Falcons Contract

Former Pumas winger Belisario Agulla has agreed to terms to remain playing for Aviva Premiership side the Newcastle Falcons on a new two-year deal.  The younger brother of three-time World Cup representative Horacio Agulla, arrived in North-eastern England last October to help bolster the roster. He played eight matches in the 2015-2016 Aviva Premiership campaign and also received game time in the European Challenge Cup.

He joined the Falcons after having earlier played in France for Agen only to return home to Buenos Aires. Now aged 27, Belisario Agulla has seen his Pumas days reach an end. In his 11 caps he crossed for seven tries but was never able to be called up to the senior roster.

Departures from the club include Todd Clever and Gonzalo Tiesi but the Americas contingent is to grow. Agulla and Juan Pablo Socino are to be joined by Eagles David Tameilau and Nick Civetta in addition to Canadian Evan Olmstead.
