Juan Imhoff joins Los Pumas 7s

Encouraging news for Argentina’s hopes of winning a medal at the 2016 Olympic Games has come through in the form of a French-based flyer. Juan Imhoff has joined Los Pumas 7s for next weekend’s international competition at Twickenham Stadium in London, England.

The London Sevens tournament is the final stage of the 2015/16 HSBC Sevens Series, making it a vital event for those set to compete in Brazil for Olympic Gold. With Argentina having reached the Cup quarter finals in Paris this weekend, the addition of Imhoff looms as a dream boost for the highest-ranked nation from the Americas.

The Rosario winger is to join Rugby World Cup 2015 colleagues Santiago Cordero and Matías Moroni in the squad for London. Imhoff played for his French club Racing 92 on Saturday. The team was defeated by Saracens in the European Rugby Champions Cup Final in Lyon, France.
