7.4 Tons of Food Gathered for Charity at Brazil vs Chile

Last month’s South American A Championship match between Brazil and Chile at São Paulo’s Pacaembu Stadium saw organizers gathering some 7.4 tons of donated food. The collected items were used to provide much needed aid to the Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Associate Cruz Verde.

The Associação Cruz Verde charity aids people suffering from cerebral palsy. The CBRu’s collected donations included beans and powdered milk. Similar initiatives have taken place in the past as Brazilian rugby looks to contribute to civil society.
