Americas players in Pro D2 – Week 29

Chilean prop Ramón Ayarza came on as a 29th minute substitute for Bayonne against Béziers on Thursday evening to make his first appearance in Pro D2. The 22-year-old is one of 16 Americas players suiting up in France this weekend, including Argentine teammate Benjamín Macome, who started at no8.

Dax travel to Tarbes on Friday with Ignacio Mieres among the replacements. The home side will dress all four of their Argentineans. Agustín Costa Repetto is at hooker, Nicolás Vergallo and Sebastián Poet the starting halfbacks, and Jerónimo Negrotto a front row reserve.

Leandro Assi and Lucas Caneda start at tighthead prop and left wing respectively for Provence against Perpignan. Demián Panizzo is in the second row for Colomiers, and Canadian prop Andrew Tiedemann is on the bench for visiting Bourgoin this week after starting the last two matches.

Montauban will enlist Damian Arias as their starting tighthead against Biarritz, and Nahuel Lobo plays loosehead for Carcassonne against Albi. Uruguay’s Felipe Berchesi continues in the midfield. His countryman Agustín Ormaechea is set to be named in the Stade Montois lineup to play Aurillac on Sunday, with Argentina’s Carlos Muzzio also in the frame for selection.
