Anselmi to Referee Cheetahs vs Kings

Argentine official Federico Anselmi has been appointed as the referee for Saturday’s Super Rugby fixture between the Cheetahs and Kings in Bloemfontein, South Africa. The appointment is the second in consecutive rounds for the leading referee from the Americas.

Last weekend Anselmi made his Super Rugby senior referee debut and is deemed to have performed strongly in the Kings vs Blues match in Port Elizabeth. The 33 year old has been appointed to referee matches at the Olympic Games later this year in Rio de Janeiro and is expected to feature in Tier one test matches before the end of the year.

Joining Anselmi at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein will be Stuart Berry and AJ Jacobs as assistant referees. Johan Greeff will act as the TMO.

Los Jaguares home match against the Sharks will be refereed by South African Marius van der Westhuizen. Juan Sylvester and Damien Schneider, both of Argentina, are to be the assistants with Santiago Borsani named as the TMO.
