Ecuador vs Guatemala Repechage Play-Off Postponed until August

The South American B Championship’s repechage play-off between Ecuador and Guatemala has been postponed until August 27. The fixture had been set to take place in June but has been delayed due to problems in Ecuador.

Ecuador was recently struck by a devastating earthquake last month which killed over 650 people and resulted in more than 25,000 others living in shelters. With the country still devastated the South American B repechage fixture has been rescheduled.

The 2015 South American B Championship’s wooden spooners, Ecuador will now host the 2015 South American C Champions Guatemala on August 27 in Guayaquil. The winner of the fixture will qualify for the 2016 South American B Championship, joining Colombia, Venezuela and, hosts, Peru. It will be played in October in Lima.
