Los Teritos fall to Samoa

Los Teritos fell 56-22 to Samoa this morning in a third round match in the World Rugby Junior World Trophy in Harare, Zimbabwe.

It was back-against-the-wall for the Uruguayans throughout as Samoa dominated the early exchanges with their physicality. Los Teritos, though, fought-hard to improve the scoresheet late in the piece.

Samoa’s strong performance had the Pacific Islanders leading 56-8 at one point which included a fifteen minute raid in which Samoa scored four tries.

Following the loss Uruguay is to now play against Hong Kong on Sunday in the 5th place final.
