Mexico Return Home Victorious from Arizona

Mexico’s senior men’s test side, Las serpientes are back home following a successful visit to the USA. Las Serpientes trained at Arizona State University this past week and had a match against the college team over the weekend. Mexico won the match 30-23.

The purpose of the visit was to prepare for upcoming international competition. Mexico are to play in the Rugby Americas North Championship which got underway this past weekend with Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago winning matches which doubled as Rugby World Cup 2019 qualifiers.

Mexico’s participation will get underway on May 07 in an away match against the Bahamas. Joining the two nations in the North Zone of qualifying are Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. The winner will advance to face the South Zone champion. Participants in the South Zone are Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. St. Vincent and the Grenadines were earlier eliminated.
