Americas players in PRO D2 – Week 27

The French season continues to creep towards its conclusion, with only four weeks left in the regular season for Pro D2. Five countries are represented this week with as many as 20 Americas players set for duty. Javier Rojas got the ball rolling in the Albi midfield at Perpignan on Thursday evening, with 17 more taking part on Friday.

Pablo Huete continues at lock for Bayonne as they visit Narbonne, while flyhalf Ignacio Mieres and no8 Martín Chiappesoni are both in the starting lineup for Dax at Béziers. Eagles prospect Christian Ostberg is a reserve for Aurillac, and Canadian prop Andrew Tiedemann starts at tighthead for opponents Bourgoin.

It’s an Argentine party at Tarbes on Saturday. Agustín Costa Repetto and Jerónimo Negrotto roll out in the front row, and the starting halfbacks are Nicolás Vergallo and Sebastián Poet. Damian Arias will be with the visitors Montauban in the no3 jersey.

Carlos Muzzio plays loosehead for Mont-de-Marsan alongside scrumhalf Agustín Ormaechea, whose fellow Uruguayan halfback Felipe Berchesi lines up on the other side in the midfield. Carcassonne also have Nahuel Lobo among the reserves.

Biarritz winger Takudzwa Ngwenya lines up opposite Lucas Caneda, who arrives with Provence. Leandro Assi is named as a replacement. Colomiers host Lyon on Sunday, with Demián Panizzo and Ariel Castellina possibles in a yet-to-be-announced match day squad.
