Paraguay Squad for South American A Championship

Paraguay’s national men’s team Los Yakaré are preparing intensely for their upcoming away international against Chile in Santiago on Saturday April 23.

The fixture is to take-place in the opening round of the South American ‘A’ Championship and is to be Paraguay’s first international of 2016. In the four nations competition Los Yakaré are to be up against three countries to have competed in the Americas Rugby Championship, including Brazil who is ranked below Paraguay in the Americas and World Rankings.

To prepare for the international assignment Los Yakarés are in camp at the Heroes de Curupayty, Paraguay’s home rugby stadium in Asunción. They are to depart for Chile on Friday at 5am and will face Los Cóndores at 3pm on Saturday.

Called-up by Paraguay are five foreign-based players who have arrived in Asunción. Among the legion are Carlos Plate and Diego Argaña from Australia, Eymard Brizuela and Omar Rojas from France and Leonardo Glizt from Argentina. The complete roster is shown below.
