Brazil to host Uruguay at Allianz Parque in São Paulo

Brazil is to host Uruguay at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, it was confirmed today. The modern stadium is the home of Brazilian soccer giants, Palmeiras and has a seating capacity of 43,000.

The fixture is to take place on April 23 with Brazil hosting Uruguay in the South American A Championship. It is to be the first of two home fixtures in the competition with Brazil hosting Chile seven days later at Pacaembu across town, also in São Paulo. Brazil’s remaining fixture will be away to Paraguay.

In addition to both home matches being played at large stadium’s in South America’s largest city the fixtures are to be broadcast on free-to-air tv by Rede TV.

Tickets for Brazil vs Uruguay are to cost R$20,00 (approx. US$5) each. The home match vs Chile will be free-of charge. Admission will be given to spectators in exchange for a 1kg donation of non-perishable foods.
