Wyles Try Puts Saracens in Champions Cup Semi Final

A second half try by Chris Wyles put Saracens into the Champions Cup Semi Final stage. The London-based club will take-on the Coventry-based Wasps in the first of two European Semi Finals on April 23.

Saracens earned the right to compete in the Semi Final by defeating there Northampton Saints at Allianz Park on Saturday. Wyles played the match on the left wing and scored the second of his team’s two tries. It sealed the win three minutes from full time.

Wyles latched on to a loose pass which he touched down to give Saracens a 29-13 advantage. The now retired USA Eagles fullback was one of three players from the Americas in the victorious team’s roster for the day. Both Titi Lamositele and Marcelo Bosch were replacements.

With the third and fourth Quarter Finals taking place today Saracens and the Wasps will learn their potential finalist opposition this afternoon. The Leicester Tigers are to host Stade Français first up with Racing 92 then taking-on Toulon.
