Rugby Returns to Pacaembu for Brazil vs Chile

Americas Rugby News has learned that rugby is set to return to Pacaembu for Brazil vs Chile. The historic stadium in São Paulo will play host to a South American A Championship match later on this month.

The stadium administration made the confirmation that on April 30 Brazil will take-on Chile in a second round fixture. For the Tupis it is to be the second time playing at the 1950 FIFA World Cup stadium, having done so late last year against Germany. On that occasion Brazil made history as 10,460 were in attendance.

Yet to be confirmed is the location of Brazil’s round one fixture against Uruguay on April 23.  An official announcement is expected this week. Brazil’s third, and final, round match will be against Paraguay in Asunción on May 07.
