Uruguay’s roster has been named for the Junior World Rugby Trophy. The upcoming international under 20’s competition will be played in the African country of Zimbabwe this month. The national under 20’s side, Los Teritos will travel to Zimbabwe on April 13.
Following an impressive campaign in 2015 Head Coach Guillermo Storace is charged with doing equally well in Zimbabwe. Los Teritos are to take-on Fiji, Samoa and the host nation in pool play. The difficult assignment is to begin on April 19 against the Fijians and be followed by matches against Zimbabwe on April 23 and Samoa on April 27.
Before departing Montevideo, Los Teritos are to play a warm-up fixture, today against Trébol de Paysandú.
The roster includes the latest products of leading Uruguayan rugby families but it is not at full strength. Missing through injury are Manuel Diana, Manuel Leindaker, Juan Manuel Cat and Marcos Chamyan.
The World Rugby Junior World Trophy is the second category of international under 20’s competition.
