Costa Repetto signs for Colomiers

Former Pumas hooker Agustín Costa Repetto is leaving Tarbes at the end of the season to join Colomiers. The 33-year-old has signed a two year contract plus a one year option for 2016-17. With Tarbes set to be relegated from Pro D2, Costa Repetto is the first of four Argentine players – the others being Jerónimo Negrotto, Nicolás Vergallo, and Sebastián Poet – expected to seek out new pastures for next season.

After winning all three of his international caps in 2005, Costa Repetto moved to Italy where he played for Petrarca and Mogliano before joining Tarbes ahead of the 2014-15 season. He spent much of last season playing loosehead prop, but has this year played almost exclusively at his favored hooker position. A highly mobile front rower, his powerful running is a signature of his game and has earned him an incredible 45 tries since making his professional debut in 2009.
