Argentina will not face Italy in Comodoro Rivadavia, the UAR announced today. The Patagonian city had been confirmed to host the Italians on June 11 but the home fixture is now to be placed in a different location.
UAR President Carlos Araujo commended the local authorities in saying “the efforts of the Comodoro Rivadavia people have been excellent, but time is limited and we need to confirm where the match will be played as soon as possible, for this reason we decided to look for an alternative“.
The UAR is to confirm the location for the June 11 test in the coming weeks. The two home internationals against France will be played in Tucumán over the subsequent weekends.
