Ortega Desio, Moyano called up to Pumas 7’s

The UAR has confirmed the rosters for upcoming international Rugby Sevens competition. Called up for the Hong Kong and Singapore legs of the World Sevens Circuit are Los Jaguares players Javier Ortega Desio and Ramiro Moyano.

The Super Rugby contracted players are possibilities to play for Los Pumas 7’s in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

From Tucumán, Ramiro Moyano has previously played in sixteen legs of the World Sevens Circuit, doing so from 2010-2015. For his part Javier Ortega Desio (pictured) has played in thirteen legs previously from 2011-2015. He also played in the Sudamérica Rugby Olympic Qualifying Series in Santa Fé last year.

The first of the two upcoming competitions will be in Hong Kong from April 8-10 while Singapore will host the second on April 16 and 17.

Also having been confirmed by the UAR is the women’s roster for upcoming international duty. The Argentine women’s Rugby Sevens team will compete in Hong Kong in a two day competition on April 6 and 7.

A strong representative distribution sees players from the strongholds of Buenos Aires and Tucumán joined by athletes from clubs throughout Argentina.
