Americas Players in Premiership – Week 18

England’s Six Nations Grand Slam winning players are to be required to focus back on club commitments this weekend in week 18 of the Aviva Premiership. Unlike in the Guinness Pro 12 there are not to be any matches on Good Friday.

First up will be a Saturday afternoon fixture with the Aviva Premiership’s best two teams this season meeting in a top of the table clash in London. Saracens were overtaken by the Exeter Chiefs last weekend and now host the team at Allianz Park in week 18. Americas players to feature include Marcelo Bosch, Titi Lamositele and Chris Wyles. For Wyles it will be a special occasion as he makes his 200th appearance for Saracens.

A West Country derby sees Gloucester hosting Bath in Saturday’s second fixture. Second-rower Mariano Galarza has been named on Gloucester’s bench while former Puma Horacio Agulla will feature as a replacement outside back for Bath.

The fixture of the greatest interest this weekend though, ought to surely by Worcester vs London Irish. The two clubs represent two out of three of the clubs who could be relegated this season. The must win match sees Canadian Ciaran Hearn starting yet again at outside center.

On Sunday the Sale Sharks will entertain the Leicester Tigers in a match in which the home side has nothing to lose while the visitors are pushing on for a place in the play-offs. Named to start at loosehead prop is Marcos Ayerza. The 66 time capped Puma will play his 12th Premiership match of the season.

The Newcastle Falcons have London Irish bearing down their necks and, as such, need to find a way of gaining points at home on Sunday against the impressive Wasps. Involved from the Americas will be Belisario Agulla who is to, like his brother, feature as a replacement outside back.
