Hernández to miss Stormers match

Leading Jaguares inside center Juan Martín Hernández is to miss the Stormers match, this coming Saturday in Buenos Aires.

During his debut Super Rugby performance vs the Chiefs in Buenos Aires last Saturday, Hernández suffered a knock to his right knee. The same knee was troublesome during the pre-season which saw El Mago miss the opening two weeks and both pre-season matches in South Africa.

Hernández faced the Chiefs with heavy strapping on his right thigh but was forced to sit out training on Monday afternoon and Tuesday after having pulled up in training on Monday. Tests conducted to determine the severity of the injury are ongoing with his involvement against the Stormers this coming Saturday being highly unlikely.

In place of Hernández in round one Jerónimo de La Fuente started at inside center while Santiago González Iglesias did so against the Sharks in round two. In addition to these two players squad members Joaquín Paz and Emiliano Boffelli may also be considered for the position.
