Herrera and Matera will not face the Chiefs

Starting Rugby World Cup 2015 forwards Ramiro Herrera and Pablo Matera will not face the Chiefs, it was confirmed today by the Argentine rugby press.

Tighthead prop, Herrera is yet to fully recover from a knock to his angle picked up in the round two fixture against the Sharks in Durban. His spot in the starting lineup against the Chiefs will go to Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro who, in fact started ahead of Herrera against New Zealand and Georgia in the World Cup.

For his part Matera is suffering from testicular inflammation and will not play. Javier Ortega Desio is to start in his placeand may be one of two changes to the starting back-row after Rodrigo Báez went down in training earlier today in Buenos Aires.

There is postitive news though with Juan Martín Hernández having returned to train as the run-on inside center. In doing so he was the only alteration from the Durban side though Joaquín Tuculet is expected to return at fullback with Santiago Cordero moving back to the wing. Manuel Montero is another back to fitness.

According to ESPN Scrum the formation used by Raúl Pérez in training was  as follows:

1 Santiago García Botta, 2 Agustín Creevy, 3 Ramiro Herrera, 4  Guido Petti, 5 Matías Alemanno, 6 Rodrigo Báez, 7 Javier Ortega Desio, 8 Leonardo Senatore, 9 Martín Landajo, 10 Nicolás Sánchez, 11 Matías Orlando, 12 Juan Martín Hernández, 13 Matías Moroni, 14 Emiliano Boffelli, 15 Santiago Cordero

Following the knock to Báez Juan Manuel Leguizamón took his place in the starting formation and Tetaz Chaparro will, as stated above, come in for Herrera. Tomás Lavanini, meanwhile, is considered likely to start ahead of Petti while the final change will see Cordero starting ahead of Orlando with Tuculet playing at the back.
