Draw announced for Hong Kong 7s

The pool draw for the 2016 Hong Kong 7s has been released, with 16 teams taking part in the main HSBC Sevens Series competition and another 12 set to compete for core status on the 2016-17 season. All but one team that took part in the wildly successful Vancouver tournament are included in the main draw, with South Korea taking the place of Brazil, who instead move to the qualifier bracket.

A total of seven Americas teams will be in action between the two divisions. USA and Argentina will meet each other in a challenging Pool C, while Canada looks to return to Cup contention in Pool D. Mexico, Chile, and the Cayman Islands will take part in the qualifiers along with Brazil. This will be the first ever Hong Kong event for the Caymans.

The three day tournament kicks off on Friday, April 8.
