Los Jaguares Prepare for Chiefs and Stormers

Argentina’s Super Rugby franchise, Los Jaguares are preparing to face the Chiefs and Stormers in upcoming rounds of the competition.

Following the team’s debut against the Cheetahs and Sharks in South Africa, Los Jaguares are to return to training on Monday in Buenos Aires. They will do so focused on playing their first home match on Saturday March 19 against the Chiefs at Vélez Sarsfield Stadium.

Following this match the team will have their second home fixture, facing the Stormers on Satuday March 26 also at Vélez Sarsfield Stadium. Kick-off for both matches is scheduled for 6:40pm local time.

The two home games are to be followed by a four-match tour of New Zealand and Japan. Los Jaguares will play against the Blues, Hurricanes, Crusaders and Sunwolves in that order.

In order to be fully prepared for the highly demanding upcoming fixtures Head Coach Raúl Pérez has 42 players involved in training. Included are a host of players to have missed the round two match against the Sharks.

Those who missed the Durban fixture are Gabriel Ascárate, Cristian Bartoloni, Jerónimo De la Fuente, Facundo Bosch, Enrique Pieretto, Facundo Gigena, Felipe Ezcurra, Franco Cuaranta, Juan Cruz Guillemaín, Juan Martín Hernández, Ignacio Larrague, Tomás Lavanini, Juan Manuel Leguizamón, Tomás Lezana, Manuel Montero, Ramiro Moyano, Lucas Noguera Paz, Roberto Tejerizo and Joaquín Tuculet.

Of them Gabriel Ascárate, Juan Cruz Guillemaín, Ramiro Herrera and Lucas Noguera Paz are injured and will not participate actively in the training. They will have focused training to rehabilitate and be match-fit when possible.
