There have, nonetheless, been alterations to the World Rankings due to international competition in Europe seeing rankings points on the line in the Six Nations and European Nations Cups (ENC) competitions.

England’s home win over Wales on Saturday sees England gain 0.88 rankings points and Wales drop the same amount. England thereby moves ahead of Argentina into 5th position to sit just behind the Welsh. Ireland’s win over Italy sees change too as Ireland move into 7th, one below Argentina, at the expense of France who lost away to Scotland.

From 11 through 20 there are an additional two changes. Thanks to defeating Russia Georgia moves ahead of Tonga into 12th spot. It sees the Russians falling one place from 19th to 20th, to trade places with Uruguay. With it the USA, Canada and Uruguay are now ranked 17th, 18th and 19th in the world.
