XXI Edition of the Argentina Nacional de Clubes

The UAR launched the XXI Edition of the Argentina Nacional de Clubes today. The Argentine national club competition will bring together the best 16 clubs from the country, nationwide. It will kick-off on Thursday March 24.

UAR President Carlos Araujo commented at the launch that “the ICBC Nacional de Clubes is an attractive tournament and it is firmly installed in our calendar. All of the clubs aspire to play in it and this gives it great value. With the new format, the level of all the matches and of the tournament has grown, the clear signal is the finals that have been decided by small margins and in the final minutes“.

We thank ICBC for their support as principal sponsor of the tournament, which demonstrates the confidence not only in the UAR and in Argentine rugby, but also in this competition that has a great value for our clubs“.

The high performance that he have today in the UAR, as we have said for several years, has helped us strengthen the structures of our tournaments and for this we can protect it and continue giving it the leadership with clubs training our players“.

Present at the launch were players representing the 16 participant clubs: Stefano Ambrosio Viñas (Tala RC), Luciano Baistrochi (La Tablada),  Lucas Barrera Oro (Universitario de Tucumán), Marcelo Brandi (Newman),  Salvador Damiani (CRAI), Gonzalo Delguy (Hindú), Martín Rodríguez Gurruchaga (Atlético del Rosario), Manuel Gnecco (San Luis), Juan Cruz González (CUBA), Juan Martín Guerineau (Tucumán Rugby), Pedro Imhoff (Duendes RC), Facundo Lagos (Urú Curé), Juan Gentile (La Plata RC), Nicolás Proto (Tucumán Lawn Tennis), Matías Masera (Belgrano Athletic) and Luciano Fasoletti (GER).

The ICBC Nacional de Clubes will be have the sixteen teams divided into four pools. They are as follows:
