Tomás Lezana returns to fitness

Los Jaguares back-rower Tomás Lezana has recovered from injury and will be fit to face the Chiefs in the round four Super Rugby fixture on Saturday March 19. The fixture is to be the first ever home appearance of Argentina’s first professional rugby team.

Lezana had traveled to South Africa for the opening two rounds against the Cheetahs and Sharks only to be injured in the first warm-up match. Having gone down against the Stormers in Cape Town Lezana’s Super Rugby debut was postponed.

The youngster will join fellow Santiago del Estero back-rower Juan Manuel Leguizamón in joining the squad in Buenos Aires to prepare for the franchise’s next match. The duo could very well be joined in the starting lineup by a third back-rower from the same city in the form of Facundo Isa.

For the opening two rounds Isa was used as a replacement with Leonardo Senatore, Rodrigo Báez and Pablo Matero starting both match. Báez and Matera were yellow carded in the opening half in Durban this past Saturday.
