Colombia’s 2016 International Program

Colombia’s leading men’s and women’s players of both senior and junior categories are to gather in Medellín this month to begin preparations for international duty in 2016.

From March 22-27 players will be analyzed with the purpose of confirming the rosters that will represent Colombia throughout the year.

In 2016 Colombia’s international program will involve:

  • South American Youth Championship: Lima Peru, August.
  • South American Rugby Sevens Circuit: Colombia, November.
  • Cross Border vs Venezuela: Cúcuta, August.
  • Los Tucanes Tour of Argentina: Buenos Aires and Córdoba, July
  • South American B Championship: Lima, Peru. October
  • Possible (if successful in winning the South American B Championship):

o   Repechage vs Central American and Caribbean Champion: Colombia, October.

o   Repechage vs Last Place of South American A Championship: Venue tba.

  • International preparation events for Las Tucanes ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games.
  • International Women’s Rugby Sevens Tournament: Colombia, Junio.
