Americas Players in Premiership – Week 15

Week 15 of the Aviva Premiership gets underway this afternoon in England. Of the six fixtures taking place this weekend five are to feature players from the Americas.

Kicking-off week 15 will be a match in the north of England between two teams battling it out to avoid relegation, the Newcastle Falcons and Worcester Warriors. The recent home performances place the Falcons as favorites to win, there by moving further away from potential relegation. Involved from the Americas will be Juan Pablo Socino as a replacement back.

A match featuring two improved clubs on Saturday will see one furthering its chances of a return to the play-offs this season. At home Gloucester are a hard team to topple but the form of the Wasps should be sufficient for the Coventry based outfit to complete the result. On the bench for the Cheery-and-whites will be Argentine second-rower Mariano Galarza who will make his tenth appearance in the Premiership this season.

The struggling Bath will have a prime opportunity of gaining points this weekend as they play host to the bottom of the table London Irish. On the bench for Bath will be Horacio Agulla while the rise of Ciaran Hearn continues as the Canadian will start at outside center. The St. John’s native will make his 10th consecutive Premiership start for the Exiles.

First will meet fifth in London on Saturday as Saracens play host to the Northampton Saints. Two USA Eagles World Cup veterans will start with Hayden Smith doing so in the second-row and Chris Wyles will play left wing. On the bench will be Pumas Juan Figallo and Marcelo Bosch. Not involved is Titi Lamositele who is to play for the USA away to Uruguay in the Americas Rugby championship.

Concluding the round will be a Sunday match. The most successful club in English rugby history will host an over performing club as the Leicester Tigers face the Exeter Chiefs. Veteran Argentine forward Marcos Ayerza will play his ninth Aviva Premiership match of the season as he starts at loosehead prop for the Tigers.
