Argentina XV named to face Canada

Canada will face a motivated Argentina XV in Rosario on Sunday that shows seven changes from the team that scraped by Uruguay in Punta del Este. Coach Pablo Bouza has drafted in World Cup veterans Juan Manuel Leguizamón and Lucas González Amorosino to bolster the squad, but only Leguizamón will start. The Jaguares flanker will have enjoyed watching the famous victory over the Cheetahs, and will look to use their success as inspiration for a stronger performance in the Americas Rugby Championship.

Santiago Iglesias Valdez captains the team as the only remaining member of a maligned front row unit that conceded numerous penalties against Los Teros. Facundo Gigena and Enrique Pieretto have been promoted to the starting lineup at the expense of Roberto Tejerizo and Cristian Bartoloni, the latter replaced entirely by Eduardo Bello.

There is a new flyhalf in the form of Juan Cruz González, while 20-year-old Tomás Granella makes his ARC bow in the midfield beside the in-form Juan Cappiello. Juan Pablo Estellés and Pedro Mercerat step in for departed Pumas 7s players Axel Müller and Segundo Tuculet respectively.

Kickoff at the Duendes RC will be at 5pm local time, 3pm EST, 12pm PST and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN3. An accessible live broadcast for Canadian viewers has yet to be confirmed.
