Americas players in Championship Week 17

It’s slim pickings this week for Americas players in the Greene King IPA Championship, with only eight involved over Saturday and Sunday’s games. Between injuries, early departures, and players just left out, there is just one Argentine and seven Canadians to keep tabs on.

Richard Thorpe leads London Welsh across the waters to Jersey to meet up with Martín García Veiga, who rides the pines once again for the Islanders. Justin Blanchet does likewise for Bedford against Rotherham, but Aaron Flagg is still a starter on the flank for Moseley to play Ealing Trailfinders.

Four Canadians will share a post-match yarn on the waters near Mennaye Field in Penzance on Sunday. Aaron Carpenter captains the hometown Pirates, with Brett Beukeboom locked in the boilerhouse and Matt Evans fit to fly on the wing. Jon Phelan will stare down from great heights for the Knights, as Doncaster look to spoil the Cornish party.
