Americas players in Pro D2 Week 19

It’s a busy week for the Americas in Pro D2, with 19 players from five different countries taking part between Thursday and Sunday.

Bayonne took a 20-18 road victory over Bourgoin on Thursday with reserve flanker Benjamín Macome scoring a crucial try and fullback Martín Bustos Moyano slotting one conversion. Chilean lock Pablo Huete, who recently renewed his contract with the club, was also in the lineup, while Canadian prop Andrew Tiedemann started for Bayonne.

Friday’s action sees Damien Weber and Demian Panizzo playing tighthead prop and second row respectively for Colomiers as they travel to Albi. Uruguay’s Felipe Berchesi plays flyhalf for Carcassonne against Béziers, joined by Argentine prop Emiliano Racca on the bench.

Three more Argentines start for Provence in Lyon. Leandro Assi wears the no3 jersey, Tomás Vallajos starts behind him at lock, and Lucas Caneda is on the left wing. Tarbes go one-up with four of their countrymen involved. Agustín Costa Repetto starts at hooker, with Sebastián Poet at flyhalf. Jerónimo Negrotto and Nicolás Vergallo are among the reserves.

Loosehead prop Carlos Muzzio and Los Teros scrumhalf Agustín Ormaechea run out for Stade Montois at Tarbes, and Martín Chiappesoni is at no8 for Dax against Montauban. The only match on Sunday sees Takudzwa Ngwenya’s Biarritz take on visiting Perpignan.
