Bouza selects 24 for Uruguay

Argentina XV head Coach Pablo Bouza has selected a 24-man roster to travel to Punta del Este to prepare for Saturday’s Americas Rugby Championship match against Uruguay.

The unbeaten Argentina XV will face Uruguay who have one win and one loss from the opening two rounds of the competition. A win for the home side will keep their chances alive for the title. In 2015 Uruguay defeated the Argentina XV.

The Argentina XV is co-leader of the Americas Rugby Championship together with the USA. Both teams have 8 competition points while three of the remaining four teams have won one of their two matches thus far.

For the round three outing in Uruguay, Bouza has called up more players to the roster as well as recalling some who faced the USA in Houston who missed out on playing against Chile in round two. No Jaguares players have been included.

Of those left out is Joaquín Paz who scored four tries against Chile. Juan Cappiello remains and is now the only specialist center. Bouza has instead gone for three flyhalves with Bautista Ezcurra now a strong contender to start at inside center.
