Americas players in Championship Week 16

Gastón Cortes returned to the Bristol lineup on Friday against Ealing, one of two Argentina players in action this weekend in the Greene King IPA Championship. Jersey hooker Martín García Veiga is the other, up against two of the nine Canadians featuring on Saturday in the form of Bedford Blues brothers Justin and Sam Blanchet.

Pirates skipper Aaron Carpenter and second row Brett Beukeboom will be crashing Evan Olmstead’s party at the Athletic Ground as they celebrate the new signing’s first European start. Olmstead will be up against Beukeboom in the lineout but he’ll be doing it from the blindside flank position as London Scottish look to beef up their pack against the rampaging Cornishmen.

Jon Phelan starts for Doncaster for a third consecutive match against Yorkshire Carnegie at Castle Park, with Tyler Hotson once again waiting to tag in as a reserve. Aaron Flagg moves from lock to blindside for Moseley against Rotherham, and Richard Thorpe leads out London Welsh for a second straight time as he moves from openside to the no8 jersey against Nottingham.
