Americas Players in Premiership – Week 12

It is all-go this weekend as the Aviva Premiership marches on despite the Six Nations taking place. With England having hosted the Rugby World Cup last September and October the season needed to be compacted to fit everything in which sees the Premiership clocking-in an additional round this weekend. Involved are to be a host of players from the Americas.

In danger of relegation the Newcastle Falcons are taking on the Leicester Tigers at the right time. Leicester is a side missing players to international duty, enabling Newcastle a rare opportunity of upsetting the fruit cart. World Cup 2015 Puma Juan Pablo Socino is on the bench this weekend for the Falcons. Both Gonzalo Camacho and Marcos Ayerza will start for the Tigers.

On Saturday Gloucester will be another club looking to take advantage of the Six Nations window. The west country’s home match against the Harlequins sees the Cheery-and-whites notably closer to full strength than the London visitors. Puma Mariano Galarza will play second-row for the home side.

Last season’s beaten finalists, Bath, travel north to face the Worcester Warriors on Saturday. What should be a regulation Bath victory is, instead, a huge challenge as the form of the team and players missing to the Six Nations leave the West Country side in a precarious position. Horacio Agulla will play left wing for Bath.

The Northampton Saints have not been having their best season but are doing far better than London Irish whom they host on Saturday. Both teams need competition points with the Saints sitting seven points out of the top four and London Irish tied with Newcastle for bottom spot. Starting in the back-row will be Jebb Sinclair.

The league leading Saracens will host the Wasps in Sunday’s only fixture this round. Both are missing players to the Six Nations which sees Marcelo Bosch moved to fullback, a position he played one season in while at Biarritz. Chris Wyles will join him in the back-three while both Hayden Smith and Titi Lamositele are to cover from the bench.
