Egan to Helm San Diego PRO Side

PRO Rugby North America has moved full steam ahead as announcements have picked up pace, much to the excitement of fans. Today, the fledgling professional competition named Ray Egan as Head Coach of their San Diego franchise for the 2016 season. Egan comes to the organization with a wealth of experience from his native Ireland where he was involved as an Elite Player Development Coach for Munster. Stateside, Egan has served multiple roles including Head Coach of Belmont Shore as well as Regional Academy Director for Tiger Rugby. Egan joins Paul Keeler (San Francisco) and Luke Gross (Sacramento) as Head Coaches for PRO teams. Two Head Coaching positions are yet to be announced.

In the past week PRO has announced a franchise in Columbus, Ohio as well as a number of coaching posts. With play set to start in April, PRO organizers are finalizing contracts and preparing for the launch of their much anticipated first season. The competition is set to launch with five teams each playing a 12 match season.
