Chile confirm starting lineup

Los Cóndores have confirmed their lineup for Saturday’s match against the Argentina XV at Estadio Bicententario in San Juan. Three changes have been made to the run-on side, with another four coming among the reserves.

Claudio Zamorano and Luis Sepúlveda are promoted from the bench to fill in for unavailable props Ramón Ayarza and Sergio de la Fuente, while Raimundo Piwonka replaces Matías Cabrera in the second row. The new reserve props are Nicolás Venegas and José Tomás Munita, with Felipe Bassaletti covering lock and Matthieu Manas taking the spot of Juan Pablo Perrotta as backup scrumhalf.

Chile are coming off a 25-22 victory over Brazil on Saturday and will hope to earn a first-ever win over an Argentina select side despite not having home-field advantage. The closest they have come in the past to winning was an 18-16 loss to an Argentina XV at Montevideo in 2000.

The match kicks off at 6pm local, 4pm EST and will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
