Americas players in Championship Week 15

Evan Olmstead is the one of 11 Americas players set to play this weekend in England’s second division of professional rugby, the Greene King IPA Championship. The Canadian second row was just a week ago signed by London Scottish and will make his European pro debut from the bench. On the other side of the field will be a familiar face in World Cup teammate Richard Thorpe, starting at flanker and acting as captain for London Welsh at Old Deer Park.

Canadians come in pairs elsewhere. The Blanchet Bros start for Bedford against Nottingham, Justin retained on the flank and Sam recalled on the wing. Aaron Carpenter leads out Cornish Pirates once again at no8, with Brett Beukeboom just ahead in the engine room against Yorkshire Carnegie. The Doncaster lock duo of Jon Phelan and Tyler Hotson are in the lineup against Ealing, with Phelan getting the start this week and Hotson on the bench.

Aaron Flagg makes it five Canuck second rows in action, moving in from the flank position as Moseley travel to Jersey. The Islanders have left their Argentinean front rowers Martín García Veiga and Ignacio Sáenz Lancuba on the bench for the third consecutive week.
