Word of another visit to the United States by the All Blacks started to swirl in the Fall. In their first trip to the USA in 2014, the All Blacks sold out Soldier Field in Chicago giving a lopsided loss to the Eagles. This time around, the All Blacks will take on more comparable competition as World Rugby has approved New Zealand to take on Ireland on November 5th at Soldier Field in Chicago, home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears.
The All Blacks match up with Ireland marks the first time two Tier 1 nations have faced off on American soil. The match is poised to be another sell out as the All Blacks are joined by Ireland, who should be bolstered by a strong following of Irish ex-pats and Irish-Americans.
The USA Eagles aren’t being left out of the equation as they are set to take on the Maori All Blacks on Friday November 4th at Toyota Park, home of the MLS Chicago Fire and a venue that was used in the past for USA Rugby matches.
