Jebb Sinclair will be staying in England for a little while longer yet. The big Canadian forward has extended his contract with London Irish for another two years. Currently locked in a relegation battle, the Exiles are sitting in 11th place on the Aviva Premiership table, with only a single point separating them from bottom-dwellers Newcastle Falcons. A recent upswing in fortunes seems to have raised their spirits, however, with two wins in the last three Premiership games – including a crucial win over Falcons – providing some hope for the Madejski faithful.
Hailing from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Sinclair has become a fan favorite since he signed for Irish following the 2011 World Cup, both for his physical play on the field and his colourful off-field persona. He has made 79 appearances across all competitions, including 59 in the Premiership, 55 of those as a starter in either the second or back row. The new season has seen him appear in eight of nine Premiership games and three of five in the Challenge Cup.
