Americas Players in Challenge Cup Week 5

A number of Americas players are to be in action this weekend in Challenge Cup Week 5. The penultimate round of the Challenge Cup will see test match players from Argentina, Canada and the USA taking to the field.

In one of three Friday matches last season’s Pro d2 Champions, Pau will play host to the Sale Sharks. Named on the bench for his Pau debut will be Juan Pablo Orlandi who, during the week, gained clearance to play in the Challenge Cup.  Starting for his new club will be Canadian Cameron Pierce who will start in the second-row.

Welsh region the Newport Gwent Dragons will play host to Castres Olympique on Friday. The visitors welcome back Benjamin Urdapilleta from injury. The goal kicking fly half has been named on the bench. Starting up front will be Lucas Martínez who will wear the number 3 shirt CO.

In Siberia on Saturday Enisei-STM will play host to the bottom of the Aviva Premiership side, the Newcastle Falcons. Argentine backs Juan Pablo Orlandi and Belisario Agulla are both to start for the visitors.

Another Argentine playing on Saturday is Agustin Cavalieri who will start in the second-row for Calvisano who play host to the mid-table Top 14 side Montpellier. The Italian capped Argentine scrum half Pablo Canavosio has been named on the bench.

Another Italian capped Argentine playing on Saturday is Leandro Cedaro who will start in the second-row for La Rochelle. The French side are to face Gloucester away at Kingsholm and Cedaro will be playing opposite Puma Mariano Galarza. The World Cup Puma has indicated that his test career is not over despite the UAR having insisted new laws will present those saying in Europe from playing for Argentina.

Argentina’s third choice loosened prop in 2015, Bruno Postiglioni will feature from the bench for Zebra who face the Worcester Warriors in England on Saturday. A changed Zebre lineup sees the 10th placed Guinness Pro 12 lineup giving preference to the Celtic-Italian league.

Veteran Canadian forward Jebb Sinclair will lineup in the second-row for London Irish who played host to Grenoble in Reading on Saturday. Ciaran Hearn is not to feature this weekend for the 11th placed Aviva Premiership club.

The over performing Top 14 side Brive will play host to the over performing Irish province, Connacht in one of two matches taking place on Sunday. Named in the run-on team at fly half is USA Eagles pivot AJ MacGinty. His Eagles teammates at the Cardiff Blues will be missing from the remaining match, with the Blues playing away to the Harlequins.
