PRO Rugby Announces San Francisco Combine

PRO Rugby North America has announced their second player identification combine, set to take place in San Francisco on January 31st at a location yet to be announced. The upstart competition hosted their first combine in December in Irvine, California. The six team competition is in the process of identifying and signing players for their inaugural season. With about 180 positions to fill (30 per team), domestic based Eagle pool players won’t be nearly enough to fill out the rosters.

At least 3-4 other combines are scheduled in the coming weeks throughout the country. Presumably in all of the markets that are going to host teams.

Scheduled to start play in April, PRO Rugby has announced host cities in Sacramento and San Francisco. Fans are anxiously waiting for the announcement of the other four host cities which were expected to be announced by now. Competition organizers are reportedly finalizing details on venues before making the announcements.
