Americas players in Challenge Cup Rescheduled Match

This weekend will see Americas players involved in the Challenge Cup as a rescheduled match is to be played. Pau vs Castres from the opening round of the competition this season was postponed due to the terrorist attacks in France. Like the Champions Cup matches in France from that weekend Pau’s home fixture will instead be played this weekend.

Having seen off some early season nerves Pau are now sitting comfortably ahead of Oyonnax and Agen, the bottom two sides who appear on course for relegation. Their opposition, Castres, are a club to have been in danger in recent seasons but are playing well and fighting for a return to the Top 14 barrage.

Both clubs have players from the Americas with Canadian Cameron Pierce named to start in the second-row for Pau and Argentine Lucas Martínez set to play at tighthead prop for Castres. Regular captain Rodrigo Capó Ortega will sit out the match for Castres while Benjamin Urdapilleta is fit again and set to return shortly.
