New Logo for Americas Rugby Championship

A new logo for the revised Americas Rugby Championship has been unveiled. The image features streaks of green, light blue, and red in the form of a rugby ball. The colours closely match those found on the jerseys of the participant countries – Brazil’s green, the light blue of Argentina and Uruguay, and red for Chile, USA, and Canada. An official press release is yet to arrive but the Uruguayan Rugby Union have confirmed that it will be the official logo for the new tournament via their website.

The 2016 tournament featuring fully capped internationals kicks off in less than a month on February 6. Its previous incarnation involved the national ‘A’ sides from Argentina, Canada, Uruguay, and the USA during the month of October, but that has now been scrapped. The previous logo can be seen below.
